NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world.

We are now the top tier artificial intelligence computing company and are paving the way with innovations in self-driving cars, machine learning, super-computing, gaming and visualization. We are building a team that will truly change the world, and we would love for you to join us. We are hiring for the position of Sr. System Software Engineer in Automotive Safety, focusing on developing a safety certified 3D graphics software stack. In this role, you will focus on applying V-Model methodologies to the development of graphics system software.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be working on safety critical software in our Tegra graphics team, responsible for building and supporting our graphics system software.

  • Lead safety documentation on requirements, architecture design, unit design to satisfy automotive functional safety processes such as ASPICE, ISO-26262 and ASIL

  • Drive creation and maintenance of safety work product developments such as requirements traceability, architecture decomposition & design and verification plans

  • Work closely with diverse teams of engineers to derive functional and safety requirements from use cases and integrate and validate requirements.

  • We will count on you to guide graphics teams in system safety engineering methodologies for development.

  • Drive complex cross-team technical issues to closure.
