We are looking for a Site Reliability Specialist to join the Core Operations team in our Technical Operations group. As a part of this team you would be working with our deployment pipelines, automating “toil” tasks, monitoring and alerting systems to measure our activity against SLOs/SLAs, and on-call operations to meet them. You’ll be joining a team that has experience spanning both modern and traditional system operations, from the basic networking layer in the cloud up through Kubernetes all the way to our applications themselves.
Our ideal candidate for this role draws on experience from both software development and systems administration experience; however, we are looking for candidates that, regardless of their present skill levels, are deeply curious and motivated to fully understand the systems that they work with regularly.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing, implementing, and improving our Deployment pipelines
- Design our SLO/SLA measures, and the monitoring and alerting that go with them
- Infrastructure design and operation
- On-call operations (for which we pay a bonus above salary)
What You Bring
- Deep knowledge of DevOps or SRE techniques, industry best practices, and tools
- Curious, flexible, engaged individual able to work independently and as part of a team
- Firm believer in automation to eliminate “toil”
- Desire to work in operations
- Programming mindset
- Experience with tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Vault
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with Python, Go, or Clojure
- Experience with DevSecOps, secure development practices, or security incident handling are a definite plus
