We’re Kira Systems. We’ve built machine learning software that enlightens the world’s enterprises by enabling them to truly know what’s in their contracts and documents. We’re bold in our decision making, clear on our mission and – most importantly – passionate about pairing the power of human know-how with a powerful product.
We’ve got an HQ in Toronto, but we’re a global workforce. From building trusted partnerships with our clients to delivering an employee experience that is second to none, our people are at the center of all that we do.
We are expanding our DevOps Team that focuses presently on our build & deployment process, improving internal tooling and Kubernetes. This includes working with our Development, Quality Engineering and Systems Teams on tasks that will lead to greater internal efficiency and effectiveness in serving our clients.

Therefore this role is suitable for an experienced Software Developer with some DevOps exposure and desire to transition into DevOps or for a current Senior DevOps Specialist. We are based in downtown Toronto but due to Covid-19 we are working remotely.

- Automating existing tasks, and improving existing automation using software best practices
- Supporting Development and Quality Assurance environments
- Supporting and improving our application infrastructure in the cloud
- Creating new technical initiatives that can affect the whole engineering organization; we are driven by Request for Comments (RFC) proposals
What You Bring
- Ability to code or script in at least one of these languages: Python, Go, Java in a Linux environment
- Advanced professional experience working with Docker
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and concepts like CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure
- Team work, curiosity, excellent communication, problem-solving skills
- Scripting for automating tasks (especially Python and Ansible) and integrating 3rd party services using REST APIs
