As an airline, safety is our most important principle. And our Corporate Safety team is responsible for making sure safety is top of mind in every action we take. From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.

The Senior Analyst will possess deep expertise in corporate safety data analytics and predictive insight execution. The job involves supporting new initiatives to analyze data and build metrics for the entire United Safety organization. The objective is to encourage data-driven decision making and improve corporate safety awareness. The senior analyst will become proficient in different corporate safety data streams. They will use this knowledge to provide actionable insights for proactive risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain new and existing corporate safety data pipelines and analytical workflows
  • Build and handle new methods for data analysis which provide prescriptive and predictive insights on corporate safety data
  • Partner with internal safety collaborators to generate insightful analysis in support of corporate and divisional safety decision making and regular SMS reporting cycles
  • Collaborate with corporate and divisional safety partners to ensure standardization and consistency between all safety analytics efforts enterprise wide
  • Provide support and ongoing subject matter expertise regarding a set of high priority corporate safety datasets and ongoing analytics efforts on those datasets
  • Provide tracking and status update reporting on ongoing assignments, projects, and efforts to leaders
  • Domestic and international travel

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering, or another quantitative field (i.e. mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.), or related experience
  • 3+ years experience in business intelligence, analytics, and/or related analytical role
  • Experience working with data, including large data sets.
  • Proficiency with coding and data queries, using both traditional and modern technologies/languages (i.e. Python, SQL, Javascript, Power Automate, Spark, PowerBI, Spotfire)
  • Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
  • 1-4 years working with complex data (data analytics, information science, data visualization or other relevant quantitative field)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

  • ML / AI Experience
  • Experience with AWS machine learning pipelines and toolsets
  • Experience with Commercial Aviation
  • Experience with Safety Management or EHS systems

The Job Posting End Date is: 1/26/2025

The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
