Recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People in 2024, Metrolinx has welcomed 170 students and recent graduates into our early talent programs, helping our young people build their professional network and develop their critical skills. Our early talent programs provide youth with opportunities to make a big impact and play a role in building a sustainable, safe, and integrated transit network.

Being a part of a once-in-a-generation transit expansion means being part of something bigger than ourselves, and it’s our people who are making it happen. Join us as we continue to create, build and impact our communities that will serve not only our generation, but generations to come.

As of 2024, Metrolinx’s Capital Projects Group (CPG) has launched an Early Career Development Program for recent graduates who have completed their post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, or Urban Planning Studies within the last two years.

Program participants will join us as permanent, full-time employees to complete four 12-month rotations within CPG divisions (Rapid Transit, GO & UP) for structured, professional development, mentorship, and networking. Participants benefit from experience in various teams, working through the Metrolinx project lifecycle, enabling the development of skills and capabilities to effectively lead large scale transit- related projects.
