About the Role
The financial coach will provide support, information and guidance for our clients as they set, work towards and ultimately accomplish their financial goals. Financial coaches will work one-on-one with a client on goal setting and action planning and will provide task accountability and encouragement for each step along the way! 

Note: this will be a part-time position typically working 8-12 hours per week and thus not eligible for full-time employee benefits

What You'll Do

  • Specialized training in financial empowerment services to low- and moderate-income individuals
  • Provide ongoing support and continue to actively engage program participants to promote financial health through web-based sessions on a variety of financial topics (RESP, TFSA, RESP, budgeting, retirement goals, etc.)
  • Conduct one-on-one planning sessions with employees from client companies to discuss personal financial situations and offer general guidance
  • Perform relevant research to ensure information in presentations is relevant, accurate, and useful to employees
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule meetings
  • Answer client questions via email and/or phone
  • Other responsibilities may be required within the scope of this position

Who You Are

  • Must have Accredited Financial Counsellor Canada certification or equivalent 
  • High energy, talkative, self-motivated person
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and to be flexible with ever-changing priorities and deadlines
  • Must work well with others in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and be responsive to clients
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and can take initiative and create solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking and presenting webinars
  • Works well with others in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to co-workers and clients.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to client and team needs
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes
  • Sense of curiosity and willingness to learn industry knowledge and trends
  • Huge plus if you're fluent (verbally and written) in both English and French
