You’ll own Fiix’s editorial calendar across all channels and areas of the business with the goal of driving long-term demand for the company and making our content the most trusted in the industry.
Goals
1. Drive long-term demand and customer acquisition by creating and promoting the most relevant, useful, and engaging content in the industry
2. Power customer adoption, success, and expansion with content that supports and enables Fiix customers
3. Expand Fiix’s content to new formats, topics, and channels while maintaining quality and consistency
4. Identify ways to repurpose existing content to scale Fiix’s content program quickly and efficiently
What you will do:
- Create content for Fiix’s editorial calendar: This includes developing blog posts, ebooks, case studies, podcasts, video scripts, and campaign materials. You’ll also manage relationships with freelancers and other content contributors while assisting in the design, publication, and promotion of content.
- Create customer marketing content: You’ll be responsible for creating or assisting in the creation of content that supports the customer marketing team, including posts for our user community, promotional material for events, articles, and more.
- Create content for the Fiix newsletter and brand-focused email marketing: This includes creating monthly newsletter content, growing Fiix’s subscriber base, and developing content for our highly engaged subscribers.
- Manage Fiix’s social media channels: You’ll be in charge of creating organic and paid content to engage and grow Fiix’s social audience.
What we’re looking for:
- Post secondary or equivalent experience
- Is an expert writer (bonus points if you have experience writing for B2B audiences)
- Can distill complex ideas into stories, scripts, templates, and other content
- Has experience creating different types of content, including short and long-form written content, social media posts, video, and audio
- Has experience measuring the impact of content
- Has experience managing freelancers, agencies, and external content contributors
- Has experience with interviewing internal and external SMEs
- Has experience in or writing about maintenance, manufacturing, or asset management
What you can expect in your first six months in this role:
Days 1-30
You’ll spend your first month learning everything you can about our industry, business, audience, and content program. You’ll read lots and talk to people inside and outside the company to learn what we do, why we do it, and how we talk about it. It’s your chance to soak up knowledge so you can hit the ground running and bring fresh eyes (and ideas) to the team.
Days 30-90
It’s time to start creating! Over the next two months, you’ll take part in every aspect of content creation, from building briefs to writing blogs, making newsletters, and posting to social media. You’ll slowly take on projects to produce content, support other teams, and manage content contributors and stakeholders. This is your chance to get used to the tone, voice, and brand of Fiix’s content and learn about all the inputs that go into creating content at Fiix.
Days 90-180
You’ll start to take over the planning and expansion of content. You’ll pitch content to support campaigns, develop editorial calendars, scale content to new platforms, and establish new relationships with content contributors. You’ll also begin measuring and reporting on the impact of content. This is your chance to flash your creative chops and break new ground for the content program.
Days 180+
After six months, you’ll be ready to help define the long-term vision of content at Fiix and start executing this plan. You’ll be in charge of using insight from multiple stakeholders and content performance metrics to optimize content assets and processes while developing new ones. This is your chance to shape content at Fiix and bolster its impact across the organization.
