Account Development Manager - The Pittsburgh Paints Company

As an Account Development Manager with Pittsburgh Paints Company, you will maintain a very healthy existing customer base with a large focus on new account development. You will call on customers such as residential re-painters, new housing, high rises, disaster recovery, commercial painters, industrial painters, metal fabrication, OEM, kitchen manufacturers, and many more. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service existing customer accounts assigned to specified territory and grow their purchases.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers and develop account planning strategy to cultivate sales of customers with most growth potential.
  • Facilitate product recommendations, application and performance and colour in response to customer needs.
  • Utilize CRM sales tool (ClientLink) to manage accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.
  • Partner with store managers and other store employees to ensure customers’ needs are met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate customer quotations to achieve margin targets according to Dulux (PPG) pricing strategies.
  • Analyze territory performance reports and develop sales territory business plans.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales and/or stores operations experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Previous coatings experience an asset but not required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

You must live and travel within the territory during the week.
